I volunteered to work the polls. Looks like I will be in charge of a precinct.

It also pays $135 for the day, which ain't too bad.

1. Great! I do it to in a very red precinct in Nor Cal.

It is a lot of work but rewarding and it is great to have DU'ers as inspectors. We can work and keep an eye out at the same time. My advice: strong arm your board into bringing pot luck so there is plenty of food and bring a calculator, they re not provided. Good luck!

We move this saturday and I have my hands full for the next week and then some.

What I'd LOVE to do is work my new precinct in the fall so I can get to know my 'hood better.

I've done this work before and LOVE it!

A lot will depend on what goes on over the summer as well. My parents want to come down to LA on election day so they can celebrate (hopefully) with a bunch of democrats.
