Edited on Sun Jan-20-08 07:09 PM by cali
if Obama fights back it's just wrong. WTF? Bill Clinton isn't some deity who's untouchable. He threw himself into this fray full force and has played hard ball. What exactly makes you think that Bill should get a free ride? I don't know if fighting back against Bill's attacks (attacks bad enought that he's been chastized by Emanuel and Kennedy) will help or hurt Obama, but I do know that Bill's the one who made himself part of this fray. Don't like it? Blame it on Bill.

5. And if Obama doesn't fight back, then he will be considered too "weak"
to go up against the Repukes. It's being set up as a lose/lose situation.

Bill has put himself as the attack dog right smack in the middle of this, and Obama has every right to respond to whatever is said. Obama is being hurt right now by allowing the attacks to sit out there for public consumption. Can't hurt him any more to defend himself.

16. Thats just it! Obama NEVER responds himself..
He issues a campaign press release... He never speaks for himself, similar to his "present" vote.

He's "present" for the Press Release! Thats it!

6. Clinton should fight back against Obama's Swiftboat tactics.
Get used to having Clinton fight back against Obama's dirty tricks and Swiftboat tactics.
And try to stop whining so much, it's really unattractive.

That seems to be the argument
Obama gets to run against two Clintons; one of them the symbolic head of the Democratic Party who has decided to wallow in the mud.

Obama gets to STFU, because ... I don't know, actually.

31. Exactly!
Obama is running against Hillary, supposedly.

Her feelings are hurt cuz her like-ability is questioned?

Then he has to apologize to her for saying she is "likable enough"??? That was to gracious to begin with!

She tears up cuz the road to the White House is tough, and she doesn't want to see the country go backwards???

Can you imagine if it had been Obama? He would be done! (BTW ANOTHER Clinton presidency IS GOING BACKWARDS!!)

What if Michelle Obama calls Hillary saying how difficult the Monica ordeal was on the Tyra Show is a FAIRY TALE? hmmm? That she stayed with Bill through all of his infidelities for her own political ambitions.

What other candidate in the primaries has had to run against the attacks of a former POTUS that is not suppose to be running again.

I think it shows Hillary is not a candidate in her own right, she cannot compete with hiding behind Bill's coattails.

20. just who out of all the hrc supporters in here has written that
obama cannot defend himself? Hell, I sure haven't and all I said was , Obama, you let the Big Dawg know the time and the place and I am sure he will be there.

hrc supporters in here did not go all looney tunes when elizabeth edwards said things about bill and hillary.....nor did we all go looney tunes when michelle obama said "So our view is that if you can't run your own house, you certainly can't run the White House."

All I know is obama got JUKED by the clintons and his ego has now over-ridden his sense......Good luck Mr O.....Don't say I didn't warn ya.....

Bill deserves to get reprimanded and admonished. But Obama should leave it to surrogates. For Obama to confront Bill Clinton is Bill's wet dream. It feeds his monstrous Ego. Obama needs to back off and focus on the issues and everything else going on. This is getting off course--and there is too little time to get into a rumble with Bill. While Obama tussles with Bill, Hillary will be harvesting votes..

Hell, Bill wants this more than Hillary. We really get two for the price of one. It's a co-presidency for sure. The third term for Bill--and legal!!
Barack needs to answer Bill without engaging him.

Our Democratic president has fought and conquered many better equipped and financed radical right wing foes. He should be concerned about a wet-behind-the-ears empty suit? I think not.

28. Just wondering???????
Is Obama going to ask his wife to stop campaigning on his behalf? What about Elizabeth Edwards? Obama should think twice about going after Bill. Bill is just the spouse of Hillary, who is just campaigning for his spouse. This would not be a big deal to Obama if Bill had not been President. Obama should ask his friend Oprah to hit the campaign trail again and not go after Bill.
