5. Sure you do...
start with cutting out their light bulbs. It may seemm like a small thing, but I used to work for GE, and bulbs and their water filtration products make them a shitload of money. Buy Sylvania bulbs, or Phillips. If you have to replace a breaker or something electrical, but Square D. Don't buy their silicone products either.

I'm serious. I am cutting them out of my house. I was going to get a new dishwasher, washer and dryer in the next couple of weeks, and now I will buy Whirlpool.

2. For a second there, I thought you were talking about the General Election
yikes!

But after what they did to Dennis, hell yeah! I'm starting by taking out all the light bulbs in the house.

3. What have they done now?
I'd to return this steam turbine for a nuclear submarine I've got in my backyard on blocks....just kidding! Really!

4. Agreed. Stop the war machine now! GE ...maker of neutron detonators.
Don't forget all the others who profit from war by using our taxes.

7. This kind of post makes me think DU
Edited on Tue Jan-15-08 11:43 PM by Fabio
is laughably naive.

Guess we wont be flying any more.
Or using solar cells.
Or re-financing small companies.
Or replacing light bulbs.

Honestly, if corporate america behaved like DU would ask, we'd all be flintstones.

10. Give me a break!
Some of those questions tonight were the most low-ball, Repuke-talking point, division-baiting prompts I've ever heard! The audience should have booed the questioners!

And to suggest that consumers can't vote with their pocketbooks is to say we are powerless in the face of our corporate masters, so we might as well bow down and take what they want to shove into us. Why bother having elections?

15. War is their only business line.
it's in the company strategy. Makes you wonder how they thrived in the 80s and 90s.
