This sucker is going to last for awhile (and, no, it won't end Feb. 5). Find your med of choice and settle down.

13. I am actually talking to a lot of voters including Hillary, Obama
and Edwards voters. A lot of the Obama voters are very young.

5. Yes. They don't trust those machines.
So they got in the habit of absentee voting.

10. I know. I know. I explained that.
But they just felt better with the absentee ballot. I'm not sure, but I think they took them with them to the polling place...but that's not legal, is it?

11. It's legal, but they aren't counted towards the winner.
Abesntee ballots turned it at the polling place, like provisional ballots, typically aren't counted until AFTER the election has been called, except in those rare circumstances where the vote is close enough for them to matter. Most counties in California don't get enough of them for the hald-delivered absentee ballots to make a difference either way.

California absentee voting on increase

It would really be interesting to see a breakdown on how voting trends change between absentee and same day voting.

12. I'm talking to a lot of California voters.
A few have voted, but a lot of them are still really undecided. They will say they are for a particular candidate, but they are not firm at this point.

14. True... I am voting in CA this week
For Obama, my wife for Edwards
A post-election breakdown of early voting versus same day would be interesting.
