Newt Gincrich fawns over Hillary Clinton
Newt Gingrich’s on-again, off-again adulation of Hillary Rodham Clinton appears to be back on.

The leader of the 1994 Republican revolution — who as House speaker in the mid 1990s clashed fiercely with then-first lady Clinton and her husband, Bill Clinton — attributed her surprise victory in New Hampshire to the Democratic presidential candidate’s courage, integrity and openness.

Gingrich’s relationship with Hillary Clinton warmed, though, after he resigned from the House and she was elected to the Senate. They worked together on a health care plan and a military readiness panel, and each had kind words for the other.

And in his podcast this week, Gingrich said Clinton was able to defeat Obama in New Hampshire “by arguing that her 35-year record of fighting for change was better than his immediate promise of future change.”

I hope he endorses her.

3. hmmm, one attacks Obama, one praises Clinton...this kiddies is ,,,
Rovian strategy 101 Attack the weakest opponent(the one you want to run against)to firm the bas and maybe cause some sympathy cross over, then praise the strongest so that the ill will you generate will turn off the base of that candidate(who would vote or support someone the evil ones praise?). Dead simple, deadly and almost always works perfectly!

8. Except Hillary is not our "strongest" Democratic nominee, and she would unite the Repubilcans--which
is the goal of Newt and his Republican ilk.

I would like to have a working majority and retain control of Congress in November. Making Hillary our nominee is, like Bill recently said about Obama--"rolling the dice."

11. And here he is "fawning" over Obama....
MTP 12/18/06:
FMR. REP. GINGRICH: I—look, I’ve known Al Gore for many, many years. If he runs, he’ll be a serious contender, but I think he would be fourth on that list of plausible people. I actually think Barack Obama’s having as good as run as anyone could hope for, and he’s doing it by being positive, by being engaging, and by being above all the negative Washington-based, you know, this morning’s hotline nasty attack, you know, e-mail kind of stuff. And I think if he can sustain that, despite the best efforts of many of my good friends in the media to drag him down to mere issues, he could become very formidable.
MR. RUSSERT: Does he have enough experience to be president of the United States?

FMR. REP. GINGRICH: Well, Abraham Lincoln served two years in the U.S. House, and seemed to do all right.

Let's all yell"How high?" when our republican masters order us to "jump".This is fun.

12. PERFECT who was the stronger in Newts mind and who the weaker?
Newt would believe that Gore was the weakest since he had been beaten already. Obama was an unknown with strong possibilities, so endorse and taint him by association. Again Rove 101

As the candidates fortunes shift so will the Rovian strategy, but it will remain consistent and true to its tenets.
