In my eyes, Obama's "youth" and "lack of experience" are good things

They are what make him attractive as a candidate in my opinion. Unlike many here, I like all the candidates enough to be indifferent if any one of the Democratic candidates won the nomination. But Obama's untainted and fresh washington experience makes me lean toward his direction as far as support goes.

We need a fresh face who has not been tainted or who has not been so exposed to Washington politics in order for this person to be able to run things differently and I think Obama's "youth" and his freshness makes him the perfect person to lead the process of much needed change.

I don't question Hillary Clinton's desire to implement change. She is the candidate of change in her mind, and I think she is being honest. I just think that change needs to come from someone who hasn't been exposed to washington for as long as someone like Clinton has. We need a fresh mind to kick start the necessary adjustments, and only when this change has been implemented, I think it is important for someone with a lot of experience to take over and continue the positive changes.

Clinton has been tainted with what they call "the status quo" with all her experience and perhaps she needs to be "tainted" with the changes brought forth by someone like Obama before her experience can be used to the max. Therefore, today I would rather have Obama win over Hillary thinking that Hillary would benefit from her experience of dealing with President Barak Obama, the president of real change. Perhaps she would be a much better candidate 8 years from now if she feels that she is young enough for another run.

I don't want to declare my support to Obama (at least not yet) because I have been very undecided and I might change my mind tomorrow. But I can say he has been gaining a lot of points with me lately.

Untainted I don't know yet. As he wins more, like everyone else, there will be unfavorable things come out. Our candidates are humans they have all made mistakes.

2. I especially liked this part of Kerry's endorsement speech yesterday.

Since the birth of our nation, change has been won by young Presidents and young leaders who have shown that experience is defined not by time in Washington or years in office, but by wisdom, instinct and vision. Today we still draw on the “truths” that we believe to be “self-evident”—but how easy it is to forget that Thomas Jefferson was just 33 when he wrote them into our Declaration of Independence. How easy it is to forget that Martin Luther King was just 26 when he led the Montgomery Bus Boycott, just 34 when he inspired America with a powerful dream. My friends, when we choose a President, we are electing judgment and character, not years on this earth -- and it is the moral compass I see in Barack Obama that gives me confidence he will steer our country in the right direction. He was, after all, right about the war in Iraq from the very beginning!
