Bloomberg Media Says Tighter Race "Challenges Party Unity"
As someone who deeply, deeply opposes Clinton's bid for the Presidency - as if hundreds of thousands of lives depended on it, as was the case with her IWR vote - I can say that this is flat out wrong.

If anything, this is Bloomberg's minions trying to float a rationale for his candidacy in the media. He knows that a uniter like Obama makes his whole post-partisan thing irrelevant.

But regardless of which Democrat wins, I think we are ALL going to be fired up behind our candidate. After 8 years of Bush, I think liberals are chomping at the bit in a way that the conservatives simply are not. They are yawning at best with their field of candidates, the holy rollers don't have the same zeal - even if Huckabee was the choice.

I am a big, big supporter of Obama's vision for re-framing the "war on terror," the health care debate, energy independence, anti-nuclear proliferation - and his ability to bring moderates to our side to get things passed in Congress.

That said, I'll inject a healthy dose of sanity for Bloomberg and tell him that regardless of where the nomination process leads, we are itching for a Democratic win and won't rest until we've scratched our way to the White House.
