Poll question: Obama and Clinton on the same ticket
It occurs to me that the two leading candidates face a problem in expanding beyond their base of support.
Obama needs to do better among Deep Blue voters in closed primaries and caucuses; while Clinton has to prove she can pull independent voters in the General Election. Both of the Goals are important.
This sort of begs the obvious question. Combined as a single entity, they are a juggernaut The problem is that they are two people. So what about a ticket? Everyone put there partisan claws away for a second and put aside who should lead it. I am genericizing the question
If they finish a close one and two and number one does not at least offer the vice presidency to number two it will badly, badly fracture the party... You will have a lot of alienated women or a lot of alienated African Americans...
It's a risky ticket but life is about risks... You can't steal second base with one foot on first...
