I keep seeing the same thing over and over... Obama doesn't have the experience. And seriously you guys need to get it together. Experience can be good or bad. Aside from her time as first lady, Clinton doesn't have that much more experience than Obama.

And until the last year or so we never heard about anything from Hillary during Bill's presidency other than her failed FAILED attempt at a health care policy.

I would rather have someone with a few years of the right kind of experience than someone with years of the wrong experience.

It's not how much time you have, it's what you choose to do with it.

1. I think most Clinton supporters think it will be a Bill/Hillary presidency which it would
so there is experience.

3. Do you really wanna go back to the 90's
Edited on Tue Jan-08-08 04:50 PM by mrdemocrat78
It's 2008 now. I don't want to go back.

Bill is going to be the Democrat's Reagan if we're not careful. You don't keep going backward... You go forward.

And being first lady isn't the same thing. Otherwise Laura Bush would be running. Or Condi Rice for that matter... ha ha ha

15. I'll go back only if...
1. We don't have to relive Dubya
2. Bill doesn't have sexual relations with Monica
3. All my debt goes away and I get a do over on my credit cards.

4. If this is the plan, then the Clintons should come clean with American People.
That is not what Hillary is promising. She is running on the strength of her own leadership as it should be.
I notice that you even put Bill's name first! Is she the surrogate to return Bill to office. Maybe that is part of
the reason so many of us are so turned off by her candidacy.

7. The strength of her leadership?
She never misses an opportunity to refer to the nineties.

8. Then maybe she should have him shut up
and quit stumping for her every day. If you want to stand on your own merits... which quite frankly she doesn't have a lot of, then she should separate herself from Bill and get him off the campaign trail.

And while she's at it, pick a personality. If you want to cry and show emotion, that is fine with me. I actually felt bad for her, until her next breath when she went back on attack.

2. And one more thing...
Noone running for president has the experience to be the President because NONE OF THEM HAVE BEEN the president.

Let's not kid ourselves here.

Who has the experience to do this job? NOONE does... We don't require it. And those of you listening to Randi Rhodes know what I'm talking about.

I think you're unfairly discounting her experience in supporting the war on Iraq
Ooops. I meant to say her experience in trusting George Bush not to misuse the saber-rattling authority she voted to give him in the IRW.

11. um... she's only been in the senate for what... 8?
being the first lady doesn't count if she's running on her own merits.

9. Experience is nice, but it doesn't automatically make someone a competent leader.
James Buchanan had a lot of experience when he was elected and he's generally considered one of the worst presidents in American history. The man who succeeded him, Abe Lincoln, was attacked for his experience (only 2 years in the House), and he's often revered as one of the best presidents in American history.

And no I'm not comparing Obama to Lincoln and Clinton to Buchanan, but experience alone does not run the country. If it did, Buchanan's head would be on Mount Rushmore and Lincoln would be in the history books alongside Nixon and Harding as some of the most inept leaders in American history.

14. While we're at it... What about her Iraq Vote?
You see, I can't vote for ANYONE who voted to send our troops to Iraq, because that tells me they didn't read the information.

They were negligent, irresponsible, and didn't take the time to do their jobs. Plain and simple.

For all her "experience" she sure made a HUGE blunder on that one, and to this date STILL can't admit she was wrong.

In a general election... YES I would vote for her over ANY republican, but in the primary... NOT A CHANCE

16. A fat load of good all that experience
in Washington has done for our country.

Besides, there's a difference between twenty years of experience and one year of experience twenty times.
