This is a great format, much better than the "30 seconds and no rebuttal" format.

The chasm between these four Democrats and every single Republican in the earlier debate couldn't be more apparent. I would be very happy to support and vote for any of our four.

I agree....
What a difference between the Democratic candidates and the Republicans. Wow...

13. Too bad all of the debates aren't like this.
If voters got the chance to see them back-to-back like this all the time, we'd win in a landslide.

1. You're absolutely right
The Democratic slate looks prepared, reasonable, thoughtful, intelligent and every one of them ready to lead. The Republicans looked mean, petty and scary.

2. It's a lot more fun that the republicans
Democrats will win. Our guys are passionate. The republicans were sleepwalking through talking points.

9. Agreed. Tonight's format definitely brought out the "real" in our candidates.
Many of the Republicans seemed like they didn't even want to be there.

A couple of them reminded me of Dole in the debates in '96. I always got the impression that he'd rather be somewhere else.

3. I've never said a supporting word about Edwards but he is having a very good night.
Obama just isn't engaged that well tonight and well, the 'Hil' is 'The Hil'.

4. I agree!
You know, I've realized we see what we want to see. They all are looking good to me tonight. I don't see some of the negatives about such-and-such a candidate that some are posting here. They all are kicking butt! I do like this format. It gives the candidates a chance to air out their views without being cut off all the time. This is much less irritating than the usual format.

12. "See what we want to see"
My thoughts exactly. I read some of the posts here on DU and wonder what others could have possibly been watching.

6. Even the weakest moments were far better than any Republican moments in recent memory.
Democrats will win in November.

8. I could live with any of them--a fine debate
Clinton showed a charm and sense of humor that I haven't seen before.

Edward's Passion came through loud and clear.

Obama, cool calm and totally comfortable in his skin--and with the issues.

Richardson, seen it all, done it all and often giving a healthy dose of reality to them all.

Our country will do well with any of them in command.

11. That's a great synopsis.
I was already optimistic about the GE, but I'm more so knowing that we're in capable hands regardless of our nominee.

No clear winner that I could see. Each one had their moments.

14. Off to the greatest page you go!
K&R, though I admit to not being thrilled with all of them. But I thought they all did well in what I watched (flipping between that and the game). But with all the crap that gets rec'd here this surely deserves it more!
