Edwards, the 'the people's candidate'
By James Pindell for the Boston Globe:
MANCHESTER, N.H. -- John Edwards, in his first rally since the Iowa Caucuses, branded himself as the "people's candidate" as he struggles to fight for attention and supporters.

"I am not the money candidate. I am not the glitz candidate. I am not the glamorous candidate," Edwards said in brief remarks in Manchester's Millyard area. "I am the people's candidate."

2. Edwards is my first choice
I believe he is sincere in everything he says and that he has never forgotten where he came from. I wish he were ahead, I do think he would make a great president.

4. His innability to raise money isn't something to be proud of.

Obama has a more progressive record and platform, yet Obama is a better fundraiser. Edwards has the advantage of having been the VP nominee and already had a national fundraising network when he started the race. It doesn't mean Edwards is the people's candidate. It means he's a weak candidate.

The people of Iowa just said Obama is the people's candidate.
