WHY aren't Obama supporters demanding that Obama cut all ties to corporate lobbyists?
Edited on Fri Jan-04-08 07:22 PM by brentspeak
WHY is it 'ok' with them that Obama likes to auction himself to the highest bidder? HOW can anyone call Obama a "populist" (or even a "progressive) when he apparently enjoys being wined-and-dined by K-Streeters?

1. I've been asking this all day, in multiple threads.
So far, no answers.

Because there are no answers. They can't explain how he can change the broken system when he's part of the problem.

He doesn't have to take all that money from his lobbyist friends, but he is. And we're supposed to believe once he gets in the White House he's going to make changes that will impact their income?

Right...:eyes:

Barak Obama: 76K
Edwards: 18K

20. Pity the Obama supporters
Edited on Fri Jan-04-08 08:03 PM by Politicub
Their sore winner attitude makes it easy to poke at them. They'll all have nervous breakdowns should Obama make it to the general election.

I was starting to warm up to Obama after hearing his speech last night. He pissed me off with his McClurkin love, but I'm able to get passed that. I'll continue to be pissed, because people in the ex-gay movement are the lowest of the low.

His supporters, though -- bless their hearts.

26. "Is Hillary Clinton a "Corporate Democrat"? - Part 1"
Apparently not.

"The evidence suggests that Sen. Clinton's voting patterns are substantially and surprisingly progressive (ranging typically from 90-100%), including on corporate or labor issues...he data reviewed here suggests that overall, she is far more progressive than corporatist. In the absence of additional or new data, I have to conclude that the label "Corporate Democrat", as applied to her, is inappropriate and extraordinarily misleading. In other words, while it is true that she has strong links to corporate America and corporatist interests, there is little or no evidence that she systematically votes in lock-step with those interests or even significantly in line with their positions."
