There is a more subtle problem with Hillary (and to a lesser degree Edwards) running on a change mantra. Aside from the fact that she is essentially an incumbent, and that is a touch sell from the start, the problem is that Obama staked this ground effectively, and did it first. For the others to get on the change bandwagon at this point simply instantiates Obama's leadership position on this issue. Every time Hillary campaigns on the change platform, she is elevating Obama's leadership.
It seems to me she should live or die on the 1990s nostalgia, and a practical sense that we've been there and know how to fix these things, and do it in about 3 days. I don't think that will work, so she will have to go negative, but quick.
