Huckabee swiftboat attack?
Edited on Fri Jan-04-08 11:10 AM by rocknation
I think I've got the first handful of dirt on Huckabee, LOL!

Yesterday, the morning of the Iowa caucuses, I came across this post by Du-er Lame54 which links to a letter accusing Huckabee of hypocrisy because he likes rock and roll while associating with a $63 million-dollar fundie who actively campaigns against the evils of "the rock beat." I checked out the other links on the letter's web page and ended up writing this on my own site. And did I mention that this happened the morning of the Iowa caucuses?

1. Huck wasn't the one who said there can be no freedom without religion. That was Mitt.

My bad--but under the circumstances, quite understandable, certainly!

2. I live in Arkansas. I've got better dirt on him
#1-while governor, Huckabee RAISED TAXES by requiring a number of service industries, which previously didn't have to charge tax, to start charging taxes. Meanwhile, he did nothing to lower the state income tax. He's really big on a "flat tax"--funny that he didn't take the opportunity as Governor to try it out. So you can tell your friends that his track record is to add more sales taxes without removing or changing income tax. That will get people's goat.

There's more, but this one piece of information is something not many know about (unless they live in Arkansas).

3. theres a list of dirt on Huckabee already
He didnt know about the Iran NIE.

He pardoned a rapist because he raped a Clinton relative.

He wants to protect us from Pakistani illegal immigrants.

Some other scandals are out there but I cant remember what they are at the moment.

6. His son killed a dog, and Huckabee supposedly interfered with State Police investigating the matter.
