If obama or edwards win Iowa, what sort of behavior can we expect from the Clinton campaign?
Will it be no holds barred dirty politics going into NH?
Or will they have learned the playing dirty didn't work for them and go back to the issues?

Any thoughts?

6. this isn't an attack. Her campaign has behaved badly engaging in personal attacks
Edited on Tue Jan-01-08 05:52 PM by Windy
I am frankly sick of it and I hope it doesn't get worse if she loses to any of our other fine candidates.

You seen to equate posting FACTS which you may not like regarding your candidate as an attack. If you would like to continue to spin the truth, go ahead. As the old saying goes, don't let the facts get in your way.

You are no different than the Clinton campaign gurus who scream ATTACK when a legitimate critism is made of Hillary's record, her votes, her war stance, etc...

I really don't think that it is fooling most of the electorate. I suppose we'll find out in the case of Iowa on Thursday.

8. Double Standard Windy. Everyone has engaged in politics
Her's is the only one who has apologized for talking about the ADMITTED cocaine use. This thread is a bunch of bullshit. She has done nothing worse than Obama and Edwards. If you believe otherwise--you are fooling yourself.

9. Then you haven't been paying attention.
Obama, Edwards, Biden, Richardson, Kucinich et al have been engaged in tough politics on ISSUES. Clinton has gone into the gutter. We don't need any more divisiveness in Washington. I'm sorry that you continue to be so blinded by your admiration for her. Is it because her last name is "Clinton" as opposed to any substantive reason? I wonder. She has done nothing prior to and since the war began to aide this country and the democratic congress in efforts to stop the Bush administration. If anything, her votes have enabeled them. And I know you don't agree....

22. Issues? Obama called Clinton a liar and said she had
character issues. If that is not personal assassination, there is no such thing.

39. Ummm...she did exactly what Obama did:
she spoke out against the war. She had one further duty--that Obama did not have. And he admitted that he does not know what he would have done.

You are so selective in your outrage. And why just single out Clinton? Is it all her fault?

42. She spoke out supporting the IWR and voted for it
She cited her "experience" in the White House to justify it, as well as voting AGAINST every amendment to the IWR that would have bought some time in our rush to war.

She did not oppose the war. It is bad enough that she supported it. Without blind followers trying to pretend as if she opposed it.

I'm tired of double talk. She supported the war.

IA/NH/NV/SC - Clinton has 02/05 wrapped up (with or without Illinois). W/over 2,000 delegates to be awarded on Feb. 5th she's the nominee.

19. She's running a national campaign - she doesn't give a shit about
what? maybe two hundred delegates? Feb. 5th is the deciding vote - the first four are just window dressing. Haven't New York and California already started absentee ballot programs - or even votes cast? W/Clinton's money and machine she has the states necessary locked up. Bookmark this - If on February 6th I'm wrong you'll see me doing one hell of a happy dance. But I fear I'm right and all this 'primary' bullshit has been a funny little joke to the great Make Hillary President team.

21. Don't you feel like a pawn? I do.
I watched the behavior of her supporters and staff on Sunday. They're patting us little Iowans on the head and letting us know how much they care. They all just want to get the hell out of here so HRC can get up on the air and mail out lit pieces and run the well-funded pre-programed national campaign she's been waiting for. No more fake smiles and stops at Maid-rites and coffee shops. Relax on Air Force One and watch the little people from above.

Feb. 5th. I bet Hillary is the nominee. Why did we even go through this charade?

32. Yeah who needs to vote anyway
Also you're nuts if you don't think the first 4 states won't have any affect on the Super Tuesday states. Not to mention after Iowa and New Hampshire is when a lot of voters from other states really start paying attention. And that is not a good thing for Clinton. The more people see of her the less they like her, which Iowa is clearly an example of.

37. Tell me how Edwards has the machine to compete in 22 states on Feb. 5th
meaning he had to have been competing in all those states for the last few months. Has he? Does he have an absentee ballot program in those states that allow early voting? Does he have several campaign offices in each of those states? has he been running ads in 22 states? How many of those 2,000-some-odd delegates will he receive in the 22 primaries a little over a month from today?

Clinton has the funds and machinery to stay in - tell me how Edwards does.

among women 55 and older. Then they will hurl even more nasty gutter gunk Obama's way. It's no secret that Hillary and her henchmen will do anything necessary in an effort to claim / maintain power.

17. Anything. Everything. The Bloomberg threat has already surfaced. Koch has chimed in.
Others are no doubt waiting in the wings to threaten voters into voting for Hillary.

Michael "if Hillary doesn't get the nomination, I'll be a spoiler in the race" Bloomberg, has started having meetings, seeing the possibility of someone other than Clinton winning.

They will say they didn't really ever expect to win it. That it was not a neighboring state for her and nobody expected her to win. Overall they will say she did better than expected.....

My big question is when will she make her concession speech....
