You have got to admire a man who can speak for hours without
notes, who can excite us and make us believe. After almost 8 years of blather from **** and the rest of his semi-literate cronies, it is refreshing to hear a man express just what we all think and can do it in a flowing, logical sequence.

No notes, no teleprompter to check every 3 or 4 words, just a real knowledge of the facts and a willingness to get right up in front of us and speak in real terms. I saw him encourage questions from his audience, not run away from them. I heard his explanations of the mess we are in and how he will help get us back to a better place.

I spent my whole life working to make my family enjoy a life a little easier than mine. I want everyone in this country to feel that they have a life that is what they expect it should be. No worries about surviving until the next paycheck, no fear of getting sick and losing everything that matters. No overwhelming sadness that our nation has gone down the sewer and we can do nothing about it.

I listened again today to John Edwards. I believe. Simple as that!

2. Well he is a very successful trial lawyer. Isn't that a prerequisite?
No one has ever said he wasn't good at his profession.

6. I may have to admire such a person, but ...
that doesn't mean that I want to listen for hours. ;-)

Still, I hope he wins.

9. anyone can do that...
there's an old saying among public speaking teachers:

If you want me to speak for an hour, I'm ready right now. If you want me to speak for 5 minutes, give me a week.

10. It's easy to speak off the cuff when you're talking about
something your familiar with and believe in vs remembering contrived talking points, arcane clarifications, etc.

11. When one is saying the same thing over and over again.......
it is easy to memorize even hours of dialogue. Ask anyone in Hollywood.

Even non Edwards supporters will tell you that they have heard that speech before, and Edwards supporters know doggone well they have heard it if they truly follow John Edwards.

12. His optimism is what I need
"No overwhelming sadness that our nation has gone down the sewer and we can do nothing about it."

These last 7 years have really tanked and we need John's bold plan of action to take our country back.
