Edwards knocks media consolidation: it's unhealthy for democracy!! I'll do everything in my power
to allow as many voices as possible to be heard!

"I don't want Rupert Murdoch to own every newspaper and tv channel".

He's live on C-SPAN now.

2. That's why I supported Dean, but also why he lost.
I hope Edwards is a little better at handling the impending onslaught of "crazy-angry-unfit-can't-win-neophyte" coverage he's about to recieve than Dean was.

Look for the "yell" moment on a "news" channel soon.

3. I think that's going to be much harder to pin on Edwards. Both he and Elizabeth
have very "sunny" demeanors. Yes, his message is tough, and he's a fighter. But I think he comes across as a happy warrior.

Yes, the media, will try - but this is a different candidate - and these are different times. The American people are sick of getting screwed.

5. He should start by
demanding that recent FCC vote be Congress overturned.

More here and here.

6. When Gov. Dean took this position in 2004, the media had
effectively ousted him from the race using the infamous "scream" scene withing two weeks time. I predict that the media will attempt to knock Edwards out as well. Whether they succeed remains to be seen. At this point, more Americans are wise to media's role as chief propagandist for the Republican Party. That might give Edwards enough support to survive the media onslaught.

It's not going to be pretty.

Go Johnny, Go!

Your brain is working well.

7. This time John is not the only one who is saying this
Many candidates and progressive authors, radio folk have been saying the same thing.

8. Yes. And Edwards has a longer national political record than
Dean. Still, he is at great risk from the media.
