Bloomberg sends warning shot across Iowa and NH
Published December 27, 2007 by Mayors Against Illegal Guns

Full-Page Advertisements Placed by Bi-Partisan Coalition of Over 250 Mayors Runs in Today’s Des Moines Register and New Hampshire Union Leader

The full-page advertisement shown above just appeared in the Des Monies Register and the New Hampshire Union Leader. It appears to have been funded by a non-profit called Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

Except... Mayors Against Illegal Guns was founded by Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who is the organization's primary source of funding. http://www.mikebloomberg.com/en/issues/illegal_guns/mayors_against_illegal_guns_announces_advertisements_to_remind_presidential_candidates_and_voters_about_i

Yessir, ladies and gentlemen, Michael Bloomberg is totally buying campaign ads in Iowa and New Hampshire.

The advertisements can be found in PDF format here and they demand presidential candidates take a survey on their views concerning gun control.

So will Bloomberg run for President? Who cares. It's kinda great regardless. He's even more of a spoiler than Mario Cuomo was back in the day, only 100% wishy-washiness free. God 2008's going to be a good election year. http://www.mediabistro.com/fishbowlny/newspapers/bloomberg_buys_ads_in_iowa_new_hampshire_73896.asp

4. If
Bloombery succeeds in having any candidate from either side of the aisle come out against guns he will guarantee that candidate's loss of votes.

5. I think it would matter....
it would muddy the waters, and probably cost the dems the election...he needs to think about that, if he's really been a life long democrat, turned Ind. It would splinter support for the dem candidate in my opinon. But what do I know...

7. If Hillary wins, I would consider voting for Bloomberg.
Actually I would consider any third party candidate against Hillary.
