Democrats Don't Demand Faith, or Even Decency

I got a good laugh when I read Julie Crum's letter, "Democrats Are More Open Than GOP Brethren." The last line read: "Unlike Republicans, Democrats do not demand a religious litmus test for their leaders." So true! Democrats actually don't seem to have any standards for their leaders, religious or otherwise.

The ever-powerful, disgraceful Bill Clinton, impeached for lying, gets a pass on everything. Gerry Studds gets standing ovations after being censured for having sex with an underage congressional page -- and is later appointed chairman of the House Committee on Merchant Marine and Fisheries.

Hillary Clinton follows in her husband's footsteps with the Chinese fundraising fraud and barely an eyebrow is lifted.

I won't even get into the incredibly poor behavior of other prominent Democrats like Harry Reid or John Murtha.

At least when a Republican politician is found to have broken laws or exhibited immoral behavior he or she is pretty much finished, career-wise.

Yeah, there is no litmus test in the Democrat Party -- religious or otherwise.
