Why is Obama going for the Pity Vote?
Edited on Mon Dec-24-07 12:15 PM by Gman
Why does Obama make his self out to be such a victim? Because there will always be people that will feel pity for a candidate that is perceived as attacked. Obama is making his self out to be a pitiful candidate and worthy of your support. Unfortunately, the pity vote isn't a very strong base of support and a strategy based on the pity vote is doomed to fail dramatically.

6. Remember when Clinton did that--they all yelled she was playing
the gender card? Anything Clinton does is bad. Anything Obama does is good.

9. Hillary whined-remember "the politics of pile-on"? Obama just pointed out Edwards' hypocrisy...
which he should've done earlier when Edwards "challenged" Obama and Hillary to take matching funds like HE had to do.

11. Obama doesn't have "teflon abilities" because
he has no substance and there is nothing to attach to. Having teflon abilities means you have a record that could be considered adverse, but when the record is pointed out, it is perceived with indifference.

14. It has become ovbious all this past weekend the one thing I
thought I would never see but I was proven wrong and that was obama supporters are now accusing me and others that support HRC and edwards as bringing race into the discussion. I was even called a racist Saturday evening, all because I said it was Michelle Obama that interjected race into the campaign when she all but scolded the black community for not supporting her husband and even in her interview several weeks back even went so far as to say if her husband lost the nomination it would be because the black community did not have enough "self esteem". WOW! To me voting for a person based upon the color of their skin whether they be white, black brown is racist and it is also stupid....

There was enough of that type voting in the south when a black whom everyone knew waqs way more qualified then either of the white candidates but because most whites voted white the qualified black did not win. Now that was a shame then and it is a shame now, and if people do not believe racism still exist, then we should have Senator Harold Ford Jr. representing Tn. and not Corker. All the corker campaign did was 10 days to 2 weeks prior to the election ran an ad that showed a white woman, blond headed and all she said was "harold, call me."

Critics said the ad, which was funded by the Republican National Committee, plays on fears of interracial relationships to scare some white voters in rural Tennessee to oppose Democratic Rep. Harold E. Ford Jr. Ford is locked in a tight race, hoping to become the first African American senator since Reconstruction to represent a state in the former Confederacy. “It is a powerful innuendo that plays to pre-existing prejudices about African American men and white women,” said Hilary Shelton, head of the Washington office of the National Assn. for the Advancement of Colored People, the country’s oldest civil rights organization.
NOW THAT IS A DAMN SHAME AND IT WAS THE RNC THAT WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR IT....

BEN DAVID
