Hillary's Experience Flashback: Linking Saddam to Al Qaeda in speech before voting for Iraq War
Well gee, ya might ask. Is this a "Right-Wing Talkin' Point"? Why no, Bucky. It's her real words in her own little speech!

"He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001."

http://clinton.senate.gov/speeches/iraq_101002.html

Apparently no evidence to 9/11.....yet!

15. Thanks,
kiddo! I'm grateful that I was able to be here then and now and get a crash course in bfee so I could know :wtf: was going on even if our senators were acting like they didn't. Their calculations backfired and they still won't admit it was a mistake.. at what cost to human lives that don't matter a whit to them?

2. That statement comes from EXPERIENCE.
The kind of experience she could only get by marrying Bill Clinton.

4. And what makes it worse is she said she consulted with her husband before voting for it...
even though he just recently said he was against it from the beginning. ENOUGH of the Clintons already!!!

6. And General Clark told her not to vote for it also
Edited on Tue Dec-18-07 11:02 PM by ClarkUSA
She ignored his advice in favor of political expediency. The rest is some very sorry-ass history.

7. Well, Bill obviously told her to vote FOR it (for her future presidential ambitions)
but I believe Clark told her not to vote for it. Yes, I agree it was for political expediency with the advice of her husband.

13. We should ask both Hillary AND Edwards.
I believe they BOTH voted for it for political reasons.

8. Oh thanks...I hated that
disingenous speech by hillary and felt complete betrayal by my senator.

How was it that we here in New York were fucking smarter than the learned former first lady of all the foreign policy experience and 2 year US senator ?

And all we did was read DU.

12. I remember Georgie Ann Geyer also wrote similar things on the topic.
She's been focused on the M.E. for decades.

22. That's the funny thing about "experience"
Just because you know where the door is to walk into an office doesn't make you the office success.

23. No, it was experience.
See that's what experience is. Making bad decisions over and over. At least that's what it is in Hillary's and Bush's universe.

24. The politicization of war happened on both sides of the aisle.
I will not forget that Clinton, Edwards, Biden and Dodd voted YES on the IWR. All have moved away from that except for Hillary who punctuated that vote with a matching YES vote on Kyl-Lieberman.

Matters of war should be mulled over with careful consideration and not used as a tool to gain political advantage.

In my view, it would be reprehensible to reward any of them with the nomination.

Happy Holidays, Z.
