Poll question: What does the word "interesting" mean to YOU??
I see people all the time on this board use the word "interesting" when they have something to say, but aren't confident enough to come out and say it directly. That's how I read it anyway, so I'm curious, when others see it, what's your first thought?

2. It means there are many nuances, none of which any DUer
could ever figure out. :hide:

I kid! How 'bout, something new that's not boring but I haven't decided whether it's worthy of delving in to?

6. I just used that one word as a response...
and I hope my off-the-top-of-my-head response didn't set off a poll! I think the word can mean different things at different times, and you're right, it's probably not the best response. In my case, just a short time ago, I found a post intriguing -- something I'd never thought of before. By saying the post was interesting, I meant it as a compliment. As I think about it, I think that's what I personally most always mean when I use the word.

7. When I post that, it usually means I want to look into what the post says more
Or it could be that instead of starting a flame war with what I really think, I'll just say "interesting." I don't have the time or energy to deal with the flamefests that go on around here.
