Clinton goes door knocking as lead melts

Hillary Clinton has gone door-to-door in freezing New Hampshire, asking for support in the early voting state where her once huge lead in the Democratic presidential primary race has melted away.

The New York senator knocked on doors along a snow-covered block of Manchester, less than a month before the crucial January 8 New Hampshire primary, the second binding contest of the 2008 presidential campaign.
.............

Hillary Clinton has seen her lead over Illinois Senator Barack Obama, her main rival for the Democratic nomination, evaporate both in New Hampshire and Iowa, which on January 3 kicks off the state-by-state contests to choose the Democratic and Republican presidential nominees.

Two polls this week showed Clinton and Obama in a statistical dead heat in New Hampshire, each with the support of about 30 per cent of voters. In September, Clinton had led Obama by 20 points.

1. Awwww. She is so cute. :D

That's pretty funny watching her go out and do that. I was knocking Obama a while ago for door knocking, but in hindsight, he was smart to do it first. lol. She looks cute though in that big coat all by herself in the snow. lol. :)

I'm glad, even though i support her, that her lead has evaporated. She can be pretty arrogant, and she really does need to be humbled. First she panics, but then she seems to get it. then she has to pick herself up and start again. And she needs to do it, because she really was getting more and more out of touch. Glad that she seems to get it. :).

5. I agree, I love her big coat!
I can't imagine how surprised I would be if I got a knock on the door and opened it to see Hillary standing there.

12. Agreed- that's one of the tactics Maxine McKew used

to unseat a sitting Pime Minister from his "blue ribbon seat" of Benelong.

That's only happened once before in Australian history.

4. Bill And Her Have Millions And Millions
Maybe if I had that kind of dough I'd be sipping Margaritas in the Keys or something... The fact she's willing to work so hard and put herself out there is laudable...At least it would be laudable to folks who admire pluck, initiative, and determination...

6. I read that as "lead", like the element. Made for a confusing headline!

10. Dude, how cool would it be for Hillary to knock on your door?
I would fucking LOVE that. I've offered to do fundraisers for her in the past; but they know me and would never let her come to my door anymore since I'm with the "other team"

I'd be very gracious though. I like her a LOT. I'd make her hot chocolate and lecture her on her shitty campaign organization.

13. Good for her for doing that and I hope all the Dem candidates are doing the same.
I would be awestruck if a Presidential candidate came to my door, no matter who it was.

Making deals and melting lead.

"I've been expecting you." he says.

Bill O'Liley's voice is heard in the background: "Who is it, Dear?"
