Dems moving slow for New Mexico caucus
Four years ago, six Democratic presidential candidates had set up campaign offices in New Mexico ahead of the party's February caucus.

Now, with less than two months until the vote, no one has set up shop here, said a top official with the state Democratic Party.

Gov. Bill Richardson and Connecticut Sen. Chris Dodd are the only two candidates on the ballot for the Feb. 5 caucus, which will determine the state's Democratic nominee for president.

Sanchez said based on inquiries to her office, Sens. Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Joseph Biden and Rep. Dennis Kucinich intend to place their names on the caucus ballot.

Asked about John Edwards, Sanchez said the candidates have until Jan. 2 to file and pay a $2,500 fee or collect 5,000 signatures.
