Scarborough and Buchanan want hearings over NIE
From Daily Kos:

Scarborough and Buchanan want hearings over NIE
by BruinKid

Wed Dec 05, 2007 at 04:34:08 AM PST

So this morning on MSNBC's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough had Pat Buchanan on the phone to discuss the recent NIE revelations about Iran, and Bush's pathetic performance yesterday in saying that he didn't find out about it until just now. Both Pat and Joe were absolutely incredulous at that statement.

Buchanan went one step further. He said Joe Biden needs to get back to Washington and HOLD HEARINGS on who knew what, and when. He actually called on Biden to haul Condi Rice and Stephen Hadley before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to ask them if they knew about the NIE report, and if they had ever told Bush. Pat and Joe were both adamant that if either of those two knew about this report, and didn't let the President know about it, they should be fired immediately. And if they DID tell Bush, and yet Bush still went on warmongering with the knowledge that Iran had stopped its nuclear program in 2003, then, well... they didn't exactly define what the consequence should be then.

2. I'd like to see the FRC take this on. This is a serious breach of ethics, if
they misled the American people about a threat to us by another country YET AGAIN!! The last time Condi went before the FRC in January, she took a savage beating--would love to see that again.

3. didn't they get the memo?
the new NIE merely confirms the necessity for the current policy. Why should anyone get fired?

I hope I don't need this:
:sarcasm:

13. It's true.
"FORT WALTON BEACH, FL. - Lori Klausutis, a 28-year-old office worker for Rep. Joe Scarborough (R-Fl), was found dead in the congressman's district office. Police said preliminary findings from the medical examiner's office showed no foul play or any outward indication of suicide."

7. The media really seems to be up in arms over this one. Last night Andrea
Mitchell was FURIOUS about it on Chris Matthews's show. I've never seen her show any emotion before.

I also posted a video here that had Bucannan, Rachel Maddow and a Republican Strategist on -- with Abrams -- VERY good and they are VERY pissed!

18. Cheney held this NIE back for a YEAR. Damn right there should be an investigation!
He was trying to force the analysts to remove the dissenting information about Iran shutting down thier nuclear weapons program. The analysts stood their ground and refused to allow Cheney to cherry pick what would and would not be in the NIE. Oddly enough the same thing that there are articles of impeachment against Cheney for in the judiciary committee. This should trigger that investigation and back it up as continued criminality. Conspiracy to lie to and defraud Congress.
