Did Mike Gravel pass away?
I haven't seen him anywhere. Not on the news, not at the debates, not even on the blogs. Is he still alive?

1. He's alive, but they decided he doesn't have enough money for the debates.
He still debates the debates online which is really strange.

9. It may also have something to do with the fact that he's a grouchy loon
He still debates the debates online which is really strange.

What? Gravel does something peculiar? Say it ain't so! The real question is why they bothered to include him in the first place.

3. Democracy? They didnt remove him because of polls, they did it because he didnt have 1million
How is that democracy? Besides the elections aren't until for another few weeks. That what real democracy is. Democracy is not a backroom deal at CNN.

4. It's "democracy" as defined by folks with a Hillary avatar
You know, the kind of democracy where you just vote for whomever the corporate overlords tell you to vote for.

10. Oh come on.
Hillary is my last choice but you know what? Some people actually like for reasons other that MSM.

The debates have to draw the line somewhere, and Gravel is a half a step up from this guy in terms of seriousness...

7. Im sure he is.

He knows his odds are small, but that doesnt mean he cant keep trying. Even though it is rare, a "fringe" candidate can every once in a while surprise people. For example, look at the recent success of Ron Paul. What if they would have kicked him out of debates back when he was polling 1 percent? Now he is beating McCain, the former front runner, in some polls.

12. Here's the difference
Ron Paul treats the debates seriously rather than as a forum for his misanthropic temper tantrums. His very presense demeaned the debates. Including Gravel was comparable to having a Nixon-Humphrey-Pat Paulson debate in 1968.

13. Ron Paul has always had 100 times the support of Gravel.
The debates have to draw the line somewhere. You want candidates like Mercer in the debate too?

I stand by my assessment. Gravel isn't even trying to become President. Go look at his campaign activities.
