This is too funny! Clinton whining about Obama's Health Care Ad!
Obama has a plan to make coverage available to everyone by lowering health care costs, and Clinton is accusing him of fraud!

I hope she keeps up this smear campaign, because it just makes her look as desperatate as she is!

And even Obama admits that his plan isn't universal.

But it's OK when Obama lies

2. What lie? What are you talking about?
Hilary is whining accusing him of "false advertising." It will make coverage available to everyone. Nothing in it is false. She is just bitching because her poll numbers are down and he's been attacking her for an unenforceable mandate.

Let's have a real debate instead of false accusations, whining, and bitching please!

Somebody please send Hillary a memo...whining ain't pretty.

10. STOP! No, no, no, no, no!
the teacher guy don't like pesky, obviously well-researched facts! You evil, evil, evil person! Stop Now!

Obama is good. Obama is wise. Obama is good. Obama is wise. Obama is good. Obama is wise.

And HILLARY is the one who triangulates and can't give a straight answer, okay? Got that?

Obama is good. Obama is wise. Obama is good ...

19. Better check those links - every one I tried came back with some variation
of page not found!

As it is, I don't see Obama shifting on the goal of getting the costs of both health care and health insurance reduced. Regardless of how mandates look on paper, they don't work politically, so Obama isn't calling for them on a Federal level. As individual states try them out, more people might decide that mandates are the way to go and he'll take a second look once prices are brought down. In any case, this is a first draft and he'll work on it to make sure anyone who isn't covered the first time around gets covered.

IMO, it's more productive to have a goal and to adjust the plan as new data come in than to be locked in to a particular method.

24. Check the first link to a thread on DU
It has the correct links. I copied my post from the OP, which has the correct links. For some reason, they didn't copy correctly

And your argument is really weak. It does nothing to explain why Obama has claimed that his plan is both universal and NOT universal. It also disingenously claims that Obama opposes mandates when his plan includes mandates, BEFORE prices come down.

Furthermore, the "goal" isn't just to reduce costs; It's to get everyone insured, something Obama has said his plan both does and does NOT do. You have no defense for Obama saying his plan is universal, then saying it's not universal, then attacking others for using mandates (even though his plan has mandates) while claiming his plan is universal.

And Obama isn't calling for mandates at any level, and he is being a coward on the issue.

Some leader he is. The most important issue and he is too scared to fight for everyone. And you can't defend him on this without posting things that just aren't true. Obama isn't opposed to mandates; His plan includes mandates

25. Obama's Shifting position on Health Care for ALL
During this presidential campaign, Sen. Obama has had a variety of explanations for why his health care plan leaves 15 million people uninsured. Here's a sample —

Sen. Obama claimed his health care plan 'guarantees coverage for every American':

"Today I want to lay out the details of that plan - a plan that not only guarantees coverage for every American, but also brings down the cost of health care." (Sen. Obama Remarks, 5/29/07)

http://www.barackobama.com/2007/05/29/cutting_costs_and...

THEN Sen. Obama admitted his health care plan would not provide coverage for every American:

"During his speech, Obama said, 'I will sign a universal health care plan into law by the end of my first term in office.' But after his speech today, Obama told me his plan really isn't 'universal.' He said it's 'virtually universal.'" (MSNBC's First Read, 5/29/07)

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2007/05/29/20691...

THEN his spokesman said Sen. Obama believed the decision to require coverage should be left to the states:

"An Obama spokesman, Bill Burton, said that the senator now believes that the issue of mandates should be left to the states to decide, while the federal government focuses on bringing down healthcare costs for everyone. 'As he looked into healthcare, he saw that a mandate was not the answer,' Burton said. 'Good things are happening in the states. The federal government should not stunt what's going on with the states.'" (ABC's Political Radar, 5/31/07)

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2007/05/obama_h...

THEN Sen. Obama's advisors said they considered mandates; decided it was too ambitious and unpopular with middle class voters:

"Like so many in the Democratic Party, Obama's advisers remember all too well how excessive ambition killed the Clinton plan politically. They don't want to make that mistake again. They fear a mandate sounds scarier to the public, particularly middle-class voters." (The New Republic, 6/3/07)

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/06/01/opinion/main2...

THEN Sen. Obama said his plan provides health care for everyone:

"Well, let's talk about health care right now because the fact of the matter is -- the fact of the matter is that I do provide universal health care." (CNN, 11/15/07)

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0711/15/se.02.ht...

THEN Sen. Obama admitted his plan does not cover everyone, said he would be 'happy to consider a mandate' later:

"Now, the argument they’ll make is there’s going to be maybe a handful of people who even if it’s affordable still won’t buy it. And my attitude is, you know what, I’m happy to consider a mandate once we get to affordability." (New Hampshire Public Radio, 11/21/07)

THEN Sen. Obama said he'll figure out how to cover everyone later:

"If we see there are people who are still not covered when we make it affordable, then we will figure out how to make sure that everybody's got coverage. Period." (Des Moines Register, 11/25/07)

4. don't even bother talking reason
the OP has an agenda and loving Hillary or being honest about his 'bama ain't part of it. Check out Krugman's latest in the NYTimes. Really rakes Obama over the coals for, yes, being dishonest about the coverage in his "health care plan"
