2. Come on, Katrina -- give it to John Edwards
Edwards IS the change candidate -- not just because of how he looks but because of his IDEAS.

3. Poor Dennis. How is it possible that we can't even get The Nation's endorsement?

6. I talked with...
...John Nichols recently and he'd like to do that... he likes Edwards and Obama as well...

My bet is it will be Obama with kudos to Dennis.

9. To be fair, she did say SHE thought Kucinich offered the most progressive platform..
I got the feeling, listening to her, that she regretted they could not endorse him.. probably because they realize he doesn't have a chance. Looks like they're playing it safe.

13. Yeah, but that's just a simple fact beyond debate. I wish they's endorsed him.

4. As an avid reader of The Nation,
I'll be eagerly waiting to hear who it'll be. I'd be okay with The Nation endorsing either of the two candidates, but I hope it'll be Edwards.

11. Katrina vanden Heuvel is mad with HRC for no apparent
reason then to just be pissed. Same as Arianna Huffington and Mo Dowd. What are they so pissed at HRC for? I have a clue. Maybe they are jealous because HRC has made more strides in her life and doing something then for self as both the other women seem to do.

14. So it's just bitchy female jealousy?
You may *think* you have a clue.

17. I'm mad at HRC, too.
My reasons are that she, in the guise of being a candidate of change, is a corporate player. That she's a willing participant in the "horse race" process that occupies the M$M. That while being thought of by masses of fearful right-wingers as being a "liberal" who must be stopped, actually poses a greater threat of continued war and imperialism than most other Democratic contenders.

Maybe that's why they're mad at her also.

19. Don't you mean no apparent reason other than her record in the Senate?
Maybe they didn't like her vote on Kyl/Lieberman,

maybe they didn't like her vote to reauthorize the Patriot Act,

maybe they didn't like her vote against creating a Senate Office of Public Integrity,

maybe they didn't like her vote for building a wall along the Mexican border,

maybe they didn't like her vote to extend capital gains and dividend tax cuts for the wealthy,

maybe they didn't like her vote for the automatic "three strikes" mandatory prison sentencing, or

maybe they didn't like her numerous votes in favor of lots of crappy "free" trade agreements.

Why would assume that its jealousy?

I really like Katrina ~ good to see her again.

She also mentioned that she sees Obama as the candidate of change, regarding how we relate to the rest of the world. (In so many words, can't recall the exact quote.)

Other than the DiFi issue, that publication has my respect, and the respect of a lot of liberals and progressives. Looking forward to it being Edwards, as I see The Nation and John Edwards as a very natural fit.
