Newt Gingrich endorses Barack Obama...
Using DU standards for determining an endorsement of course...

"My guess is Senator Obama's going to win Iowa and that he's going to win it by a surprising margin."

-- Newt Gingrich, in an interview with ABC News.

2. LOL
I heard that Russell Simmons is on the fence between endorsing Edwards, Obama or Kucinich. THat's one that I am following to see where it goes. I think Simmons is an interesting figure who never bores with his political opinions.

10. As he said, he's using DU standards
Probably referring to the time DU claimed that Bush endorsed Hillary because he said that he thought she would win.

14. Given that this has apparently gone completely over your head...
I would say you are not the intelligent one...I am sure one of your fellow Obamatons will explain it to you...

If not, reply and I will be glad to point you to the answer...

16. you must hav
missed all the threads claiming bush was endorsing Clinton by saying he thought she'd win the dem nomination.

Clue: The OP wrote: "by DU standards".

This one was obvious and it's proof once again, as if one needed more, that hate makes people stupid.

17. Bah
This is called "The expectation game" you forecast short for the side you are rooting for and hope that the media reports the hell out of it. After that you hope the media cycle picks up and reports a wonderful grassroots upset on behalf of the candidate you shorted.

The truth is that Newt wants Hillary to take the nomination.

It might be because she will be defeated in a general election, or it may be because he thinks he can beat her in 2012. Or Newty is hoping to make his bones on a prognosticator/pundit to drive the sales of whatever crappy book he is hawking next.
