1. I agree. It's really big. It's going to be interesting to watch.
How the WH will turn it's back on one of it's own...again...

3. Yes, it is huge, and it also won't cause a ripple
I wish with all my heart I was wrong-but the crimes of the last 7 years have gone unpunished-why should this be any different?

Please, someone prove me wrong!

23. I agree, look at the bigger picture...

if OPEC succeeds in abandoning the dollar, then this could drive its value even lower which will have even more devastating effects on the economy. This could mean that Cheney's entire energy and war plans are looking like a complete failure, with no more political support for starting new wars. Bush may need an excuse to resign Cheney and try to switch course under internal Republican pressure. Look at how far we have come so far with all the resignations - no more Rove, Rumsfeld or Gonzales.

22. I can't prove you wrong...but...
Edited on Wed Nov-21-07 06:42 AM by RichGirl
...although it seems that nothing has happened, Bush's approval has steadily gone down. I'm surrounded by republicans even friends and family members who stopped defending him a long time ago. Now they are coming to see that he is a huge failure. I think though that they all thought it was a matter of bad choices on his part. If there is proof of criminality I think the tide will turn. This isn's a dem making accusations, it's one of their own. I hope.....

6. Nope- it's a trap.
If you expect ANYTHING truly damaging to be included
in that book of Snotty Scotty's (a book he hasn't actually
finished WRITING yet), you're gonna be SORELY disappointed.

It's a trick, a con, a set-up. Don't get sucked into it.

9. What's the con? and how do you know?
I guess the rest of the book could be loaded with false praise for BushCo while using the leak to gain the public trust. It could also be a "look over here while we cover-up something over there" type thing.

Or Scotty could really be turning on them. I don't think anyone knows yet.

33. Of course they're spinning, but I still don't see a con game going on.
Threats maybe, but no Rovian con.

What possible benefit would there be to implicating Bush as a felon and then retracting the implication?

14. use the search tool
on DU and see if you can find all the threads that ask if THIS one is going to be the ONE to bring down this corrupt administration. There are lots of them - and NOTHING ever comes of it. I agree with the poster who says we are in scandal fatigue. I think most Americans - even the ones that support this asshole (20%??) are just trying to get to 1/20/09 alive.

I pray I am wrong but with "impeachment off the table Pelosi" I bet i am not.

I would almost trade all my hopes that this will bring * down for the remote possibility that the Dems in Congress will stick to their guns about the defense funding bill. Fuck the Pentagon and let them use their already passed 490 BILLION to bring the troops home!

Peace

Fitz's work is done though. Scott knew it was safe to finally concede the lies and sell some books just in time for Christmas.

16. Off to the greatest page with you. K&R
Not that I agree with your post 100%...I think you are right on the "huge" part, but unfortunately, only a small percentage of Americans are really paying attention. The assholes who voted for * don't really give a damn. And the MSM doesn't give a damn either because they were enablers. But, in the long run, when history is written, YES, the story is huge. We were right! We are not crazy radical hippy liberals (ok some of us are), but we were right when we said that bush/cheney were involved in treason. The MSM will turn a blind eye. Vindication can, sadly, be a lonely affair.

Not unless one pre-orders it. The book won't be available until Apr. '08. It is real strange that they
are promoting it now.

29. I suspect the dems will say this distracts from the election, so lets not do anything
oits' up to the MSM to harp on it, and they wont harp on it unless we harp on them...so get those e mails flying to CNN expecially, and the rest.

A few thank yous for the exposure by Tweety and KO wouldnt hurt either and tell them to keep it up.
America deserves the truth and a free press !

BTW, where is the NYT on this?
