Bear in mind that in CITIZEN KANE neither Kane nor Gettys is a "good guy."

Both are complex figures, each corrupt in his own way.

(If one wants to discuss John Edwards in terms of Willy Stark that's cool too, but a different movie!)

5. Except for one thing: No evidence at all that Obama is corrupt in any way.
There is, OTOH, some evidence - albeit maybe not great evidence or abundant evidence - that Hillary is to some extent, as are most politicians.

Not saying Obama isn't corrupt. No, no, no, no, no. Just sayin' that there is no evidence whatsoever that he is. Unusual, but true.

Hmmmmm. Makes me think. Maybe, just maybe, Obama ISN'T corrupt. Wow. Maybe we should vote for the guy and see.

13. Kane and Gettys are corrupt in different ways
Gettys is corrupt in the traditional sense.

Kane is corrupt in the way his ego blinds him to the effects of his ambition. He cannot see that politics corrupts everyone, even him.

I should have said "flawed" rather than corrupt. I was referring to corruption in the sense of both graft and the sense of decay or tarnish.

I am sure that the strongest partisans of Clinton and Obama would both object to the characterization, but I consider all high-profile politicians corrupt in their own way.

Politics is a very ugly business.

6. Wonder who Obama was when his campaign
dug into the sexual peculiarities of his Senate opponent from Illinois...The papers in Chicago ran the scoop that he was instrumental in releasing the data that sunk the campaign of Ryan. It's all over Raw Story posts. Go find and figure.

So dirt don't stick to him according to his supporters.

7. Raw Story has the posts about Obama
and his campaign releasing the dirt on Ryan about his peculiar sexual preferences. Just go to the comments and find it posted by someone from Chicago...guess dirt isn't supposed to stick to Obama.
