Bill Richardson tells Wolfie %@#& you and the horse you rode in on!
In answering a question about Pakistan, Bill Richardson talked about Bush putting security ahead of human rights and how if he were President he would reverse that foreign policy direction.

Wolfie smelled blood and followed up like the douchebag he is smarmly Asking "Did I hear that correctly (what a complete ass) Did you say you would put human rights ahead of American national security?"

Then Richardson answered him without hesitation. "Yes" Then he talked about America's true strength. Our values and living up to them.

I was was so proud of him that it got a little dusty in my den and my eyes watered for some totally unrelated and non emotional reason.

Way to go Bill!!!

1. Sometimes I wish Wolfie would get a taste
of Gitmo's loving treatment, and maybe he would see the light.

3. I thought that was great but apparently the talking heads on CNN thought otherwise.
I guess Bill's been away from the Beltway too long. He's lost touch with what the cocktail party set are saying.

Apparently he should have said security is more important than human rights.

5. Un-f***ing-believable
I didn't watch the debate but seeing the reports -

How far have we fallen that we would put "national security" (amorphous cover for all kinds of mischief that it is) ahead of human rights?

Evidently we are not a "Christian" nation after all. At least not by the version of Christianity that I was taught.

I wonder how this question would have been answered: "You say you are a man (woman) of faith. Which comes first to you, God or country?"

4. Ugh. No moderator for the next debate.
Just let them fight for the microphone.

8. It was an important question, but the format allowed it to be buried.
I think I heard two candidates, Clinton and Dodd select security. Richardson selected human rights, and Obama selected human rights and pointed out that you can't have security without respecting human rights. I don't know if Biden, Kucinich and Edwards even had a shot at the question.

Neither Richardson nor Oboma had the time to confront Blitzer to ask if this was a torture question. I think if time has permitted, they would have pointed out that human rights don't stop at the water's edge, nor does placing security above human rights stay overseas.

9. NPR said this morning
Dodd quickly said "National security" when asked that question.

Unfortunately they didn't give the answers of all the candidates, just what they considered "highlights" from each one. Apparently they thought putting national security before human rights was a "highlight."

The highlight they chose for Richardson was excellent though - along the lines of "The future belongs to renewable energy - not oil, not coal, not nuclear." (Go Bill! and I don't mean $^#%* Clinton!)
