Is it true that Reid isn't allowing a recess? Dare I hope?!!! Lawd, have mercy...Is there a functioning brain cell among the group of them..

You bet they're getting the message.

At least the DFL is having problems (so are the state Republicans). The State Chair blames it on people giving more money to campaigns - which certainly is true. But he also acknowledges that "Many of the small donors are frustrated with the Congress and with the state Legislature. The frustration with the Congress is over the war in Iraq. The frustration with the Legislature is over the sense that Tim Pawlenty still is getting whatever he wants. There are people saying, 'We won in 2006 -- why haven't you changed the world yet?'"

I did find his crack about people being mad about the world not changing snide. At last weekend's Central Committee meeting I told him no one expected the world to change in 11 months, but we did expect the Democrats to grow spines and put the brakes on Bush.

I imagine if the DFL is having problems state parties and the DNC must be feeling the pinch too.
