Do you agree with Wolf Blitzer's statement: "No matter if it's a boy or girl, there's a tendency to gang up on the front runner. It's a natural phenomenon"?

2. From one of Clinton's Senior Aides to Drudge:
"Blitzer should not go down to the levels of character attack and pull 'a Russert.' "

That's great! "pull a Russert" - hope it becomes part of the lexicon like "swiftboating". Poetic justice.

8. Blitzer is ten times WORSE than Russert in the
Media whore and Democratic Party hater department.

Leslie will be frothing at the mouth at the mere SIGHT of Senator Clinton, I think this time, if any shit gets pulled, I think she should smack them upside the head and IF President Clinton gets mentioned more than say twice, I think Senator Clinton should say that Bill ISN'T the one running for President and IF anything personal gets mentioned, I think Senator Clinton should tell them that it's none of their damn business.

15. I didn't know he was that bad.
I stopped watching CNN years ago, but I thought he was just the dullest idiot in broadcasting. Hmmm, this could turn ugly tonight.

22. I think that when Clinton was questioned about -- was it torture? -- I honestly
don't remember, and she answered only to be told the statement was a quote by Bill (and was that Russert? Everything is blurry in my head)

ANYWAY - I thought she handled it masterfully! I have no doubt she can take care of herself if they pull that shit again.

26. I think
Senator Clinton can take care of herself as well....Jaysus, she's had crap thrown at her for years by these Media critters.

But this time, early on, she really NEEDS to issue a smack down, to send them the message to stop bringing her husband into like nearly EVERY other question....what was it last time, something like 45 questions and 28 of them were directed at Senator Clinton and most of the 28 mentioned President Clinton.

The personal stuff as well, the question about when was President Clinton going to open his Presidential papers, none of their fucking business....why doesn't Tiny Tim and the rest of the critters go and ask the Bush Baby and Uncle Dick about why everything they do is shrouded in secrecy and in media blackout lockdown....that afterall IS relevant....Bill Clinton left office in January 2001, he's not been President for nearly seven years.

3. Of course. And even my mom, who likes her, is turned off by her using her sex as an excuse.
Edited on Thu Nov-15-07 06:35 PM by Kerry2008
And for the record, they aren't ganging up on her. All criticism so far in the debates has been fair. Just like the criticism of Obama and Edwards, for the most part, is fair. She's the frontrunner and she's engaging in doublespeak and waffling, do you expect the other candidates to ignore it? Has nothing to do with her being female. Lord knows America could use a strong female.

4. It's the "King of the Hill" concept.
I don't know if kids play that rather rough game anymore, but one kid grabs the high ground, and fights off all comers. If someone can knock the kid off the hill, they get to be king until they get their ass handed to them!

ANYONE ganging up on W though....and he was considered the front-runner solely because he was Bush Jr.

Wonder why nobody ganged up on him? Oh hold on....we know why don't we....

I just think it's odd Wolfy said "boy or girl," as if they're all in powder blue or pink and their PR staff is handing out cigars or something.

11. We'll find out more tonight.
We know what Wolfie and Roberts are and Campbell Brown is married to NeoCON/Bush Toadie Dan Senor. Why the Democratic candidates don't insist on impartial moderators is dumbfounding.

14. I think
Calling them "boys and girls" is definately a put-down....I mean would these asshats call W a "boy" or The Ghoul a "boy" or call Condi Rice a "girl"? I don't think so.

I agree, it's mind-boggling why the Democratic candidates don't insist on impartial moderators, we know once again tonight the crowd moderating, their questions WILL be FULLY loaded.

16. Bill and Hillary Clinton refer to people as "boys and girls"
?

Yeah but with oafs like Blitzer et al ANYTHING that comes out of their mouths thats directed at ANY Democrat is pretty much meant to be a put-down, lets face it.

We knew YEARS ago, that the MSM ain't our friends and ain't on our side.

? Are you saying that wasn't a put-down? Bill said it wasn't. So it isn't when anyone else uses it, either. And Hillary calling herself a girl as well as Bill calling her a girl?

18. Just using the words the Clintons used
When she said "I'm your girl" and when Bill talked about "the boys" going after her. I bet you didn't think it was odd when the Clintons used those stupid girl/boy references themselves - and probably called people sexist when they called it juvenile.
