1. Status quo for Hillary and Obama. Apparantly, Edwards has had a rough day in the field.

2. He Just Needs To Bash Hillary Some More
I'm sure Joe Trippi will instruct him to do that as bashing is his raison d'etre....

Has he ever won a race?

5. Why is this cherry picking?
This Ras poll just came out... The CBS numbers have been discussed here since yesterday evening.

9. I Did An Auto Search
Of my name and Rasmussen and got 36 hits... Most of them were threads with Rasmussen Results...

Here's a slighlty closer poll:

I don't think the Cook poll pushes undecideds...

10. Also according to CBS, Edwards has fallen below double digits in NH.
Edwards had better win Iowa and win big or his campaign is over.

11. His campaign is already dead.
It's just twitching now, like a chicken with its head cut off.

13. Ya Think
He was showing some life yesterday... That being said it was beyond stupid of me to be influenced by a one day movement in the Rasmussen poll...

If he loses IA it's over...

15. Even if he wins Iowa, he's trailing by HUGE margins
in New Hampshire and South Carolina. A candidate needs to be within striking distance in those states before the Iowa caucuses to win. Edwards simply isn't in striking distance.

Moreover, his idiotic decision to go for public financing means that he'll be at a HUGE disadvantage in terms of money. He won't be able to dent the media markets in NJ, NY, CA, or IL.

Reality is that he's behind Clinton in every state, including his own home state. He's behind by 30 points in South Carolina and 25 points behind in New Hampshire. He can expect maybe a +15 points swing from Iowa. So, he wins Iowa, loses NH, loses SC, and has no money to compete on February 5.

Dead man walking.

16. Hey GT (and DSB feel free to chime in)
Do you think in the event of an Edwards win in IA, he would skip NH and go straight to SC to focus there?

17. He's more screwed in SC than he is in NH.
I don't think he can win SC no matter what. With Hillary and Obama in the race, black folks (40-50% of the primary electorate there) simply aren't buying what he's selling.

As I said, already dead, just twitching.

21. And, if Obama tanks, his AA support goes to Clinton.
And, if Clinton loses AA support, they'll go to Obama.

Edwards is stuck with the coalition of young white people and old white people, white men and white women.
