He has a big Wen Ho Lee case problem if he runs.
He was energy secretary at the time of this problematic case.

1. Richardson would be a great choice.
The lying little deserter squatting in Al's house has targeted Hispanics for special attention this season and Richardson would help a lot on that issue.

5. Not a good idea
New Mexico is almost split down the middle. The Greens have been getting a lot of votes and have been targetting the slimier turncoat Democrats for elimination...even if it puts a Republican in office.

6. Richardson's on FAUX News even more than Holy Joe Lieberman!
And Sean Hannazi calls him a "friend". That alone makes him ineligible.

8. I disapprove because I like him
he's a great Governor & he's only started his term.

On the other hand, I personally know that Diane Dennish would also do a great job for New Mexico, so what the hell - change my vote.

10. I'm frankly amazed
IMO Bill Richardson is a marvelous candidate, one of the best possibilities imaginable. With Bush pushing hard to split the community by appointing conservatives Hispanics, we have an opportunity to high lite our party's commitment. The image of WASP Kerry joining hands with Anti-WASP Bill Richardson carries a lot of symbolic power, a generational, cultural union.

And 65% of those responding here oppose him?

11. Depends

If its Edwards (unlikely but possible) then I think he would be a very strong contender for the VP slot... however with Kerry NO...No...No only Gerhardt would be a worse choice (in that Richardson has some upsides while Geppy as a running mate has zero)... Kerry needs a fresh face with charisma and a moderate record to balance the ticket and i still very much think that that should be Edwards... if he was eligible then Harold Ford might be a good choice...but the last thing Kerry needs is a rather stiff old hand on the ticket, especially where Bush to replace Cheney with Governor Owens (R-CO) (which is unlikely in my view but a distinct possibility)...

12. DNC/Clinton bathtub ring
He's got the same baggage that makes me sour on many of the candidates.
