What is Hillary & Baracks relationship like outside of the campaign?
Edited on Sat Nov-03-07 11:44 PM by Lirwin2
A while back I remember hearing that they are no longer on speaking terms. Does anyone know what the deal is?

10. I edited out of my OP what he was referring to
I heard in another post that Obama went to a halloween party hosted by the Clintons, I wasnt aware that it was a SNL sketch, and asked about it in my OP before editing it out.

3. The only thing i've seen outside of photo ops
was the day of the Dem filibuster. From his actions and body language, I had the distinct impression he doesn't like her at all. But who knows for sure...

4. Yeah, but John Stewart showed him checking out her butt.
Which was very funny, and also without meaning or significance. I mention it because it was hilarious.

5. I beleive they dislike each other.
they use to be friends. when the senate met in Jan., and all the talk of whether or not Obama would run was running high, he passed her on the floor and nodded and she walked passed him and refused to talk to him.
The story was in several places then.

6. That's kind of sad
They are both very gifted politicians, kind of a waste to have two people like that truly dislike eachother.

7. Considering how identical they seem to be it would be silly not to be getting along.

11. According to what I've read (who knows how much is actually true), the relationship
chilled greatly after he decided to run for President.

It is too bad actually.

12. Politics ISN'T everything, so I would
Hope that Senator Clinton and Senator Obama could be friends OUTSIDE of the political arena.

I'm sure that Senator Clinton's outside relationship with John Edwards though, would by now, be pretty much non-existent, considering he's decided to attack her on a VERY personal level....including his unsubstantiated allegation of her taking "bribes"

Shame on you John Edwards :spank:

16. I don't think they despise each other
but I get the distinct feeling that Clinton sees him as a road block to the White House. As the MSM has said before about their relationship, SHE was supposed to be the "first" candidate. Now, Obama has taken away her steam as the "First Woman President" because he could be the "First Black President."

I also feel that she doesn't totally respect him politically (probably because he hasn't been around that long). But that's just my opinion. People don't realize how power mad a lot of politicians are.

17. It's to be expected Hillary and Obama are intense rivals
So obviously both of them view each other as roadblocks.

I can understand why Hillary wouldn't respect Obama politically, in BIG ARENA political terms he's a rookie, he's a novice....whereas she's been around a LONG time.

They're all power mad, or they wouldn't be running for President.

14. Given the turns in the campaign , anything is is possible
I've heard him express admiration for her in the past, but sometimes familiarity breeds contempt
