New Zogby Poll-George Bush Approval -24%
Per MSNBC

Instead of bickering with one another we need to make sure Bush* is the Rethuglican candidate's "running mate" in 2008... That's what Clinton did to Dole in 1996...He tied him to a very unpopular Newt Gingrich...

"Strategery"....

1. Agreed. People who say that George Bush isn't running in '08 aren't entirely accurate.
He's definitely running. He'll be the guy trying to hide in the background of every (R) Senate, House, and presidential candidate's campaign.

2. Remember the 96 Clinton Commercials Showing Dole And Gingrich Together
They were brutal...

And they really got under Dole's skin...

3. I think Campaign '08 is going to be like "Where's Waldo?"
With George W. Bush playing the part of Waldo.

Oh, look. There he is. There he is again. Commercial after commercial. :)

6. The Dems Are Ten To Thirteen Points Up On The Generic Presidential Ballot
But Rudy runs almost even against Hillary, Obama, and Edwards...

If he gets the nomination I look forward to his love nest at the WTC being exposed as well as his failure to properly equip the firefighters...

I dislike most Rethuglicans and I especially dislike Rudy...He's just not a nice person and one who plays dirty...That's why we need a candidate that is tough as him...Rudy will say anything, do anything, be anything to attain his goals...He started life as a McGovern Democrat and only became a Dem to get a job in the Reagan Department Of Justice...I have no problems with converts, religious or spiritual, as long as they don't convert out of expediency...

10. Should he win the nomination, I think he'll be exposed as a fraud.
We already know he's a fraud, of course, but I think the focus of the general election would expose him to the American people. Behind the facade, there's very little there but a mean-spirited jerk. Not terribly appealing to the average voter.

4. You Forgot Something
Congressional approval is at 11%!

I agree about hanging Bush around the necks of all Republicans running in 2008, but let's not gloss over the fact that Congress is sucking worse then Bush is on approval.

In other words let's make sure we don't cherry pick the facts like the bad guys do, okay?

7. The Congress Is Essentialy Half Republican
And with a Rethuglican president who has the power of the veto , in some ways it's still a Rethuglican Congress...

8. Congress is always at a low approval rating.
When have you ever seen congress above 50%? One past time all Americans enjoy is bashing congress. I don't worry about those numbers.

11. All politics is local.
People generally approve of their own Senators and Congresspeople and hate the rest. Nothing new.

5. Under most circumstances, I would agree with you, wholeheartedly
However, I think and this is my opinion --most Americans are
so "fed up" with GWB and his policies that he just does not
matter anymore. Yes, I recognize there is a portion of his
base who are with him right or wrong.I am referring to the
majority of Americans. I think we make a big mistake by not
going after Republicans with more zeal.

The Republicans already have their game face going. Attack
Democrats, Attack Democrats--not just the Candidates but
Democratic Party and what it stands for.

We will make a serious mistake, just relying on results
of National Polls. Right now the Dems are in a pretty good
place. It will take work to keepthem there for months to
come.
