1. He's my least favorite of the top contenders
but he's got my vote and enthusiastic support in the general.

I am a Democrat.

5. I couln't stomach voting for Obama. Anyone BUT Obama.
Fortunately, it is highly unlikely that he will get the nomination. So I guess I will never have to cross that bridge...etc.

20. So you dislike Obama so much that you would not vote for him?
If that's the case, your party affiliation should be more than questioned, just like the ones of the "anti-Hillary" crowd.

11. "IF"???
I'm not really sure. I've never NOT voted. But I guess there is a first time for everything. I suppose I would have to see "if" I could be moved into believing that a man who is inexperienced should be handed the White House. The repubs handed it to * and look what happened. Obama is just too green in my book. I have no faith in him.

24. then what about Cheney's wealth of experience? Rumsfeld's?
Edited on Tue Oct-16-07 11:00 PM by mark414
Nixon was in government for decades before he took over as president. Poppy Bush got his start 50 years ago.

Some people are just born qualified and capable. Lincoln didn't shine until he became president. How do you know Obama won't do the same?

"Experience" is overrated.

and on edit: it wasn't georgie's "inexperience" that caused this mess we're in...it was a flawed and rigid ideology that was vigorously sought after and enforced by a bunch of power hungry madmen

How about "Obama is my least favorite choice but if he is the Democratic nominee I will support him"?

8. Have you considered wasting your vote for Stephen Colbert?
I'm undecided, but I'll happily endorse and work for whoever gets the consensus of Democrats voting in the primary. Any other option is a vote for Republicans.

15. I'm not even a Democrat, I am an Obama supporter, but I will vote for Hillary if she gets the nom
If i lived in a safe blue state, to be honest I probably wouldn't. But I live in a swing state. I couldn't sit there in good conscience and NOT vote against Romney or Guiliani or whatever nutbag they end up nominating

21. I will vote for the Dem candidate too, but I admit, Obama isn't my first choice.
I can overlook the inexperience because I suspect he will chose an experienced VP, and many advisors to surround him. I actually have the same problem with him that I have with Edwards. They're both too meek and mild. I know a lot of people say they hate negative campaigning and comments, but right or wrong, the negative stuff works. I'm very afraid that if Obama or Edwards were to be our nominee, the nastiness of the Pubs would burry them!

The VERY LAST thing I want to see is another Pub in the WH!

26. obama experience question
is obama really that inexperienced? i mean he has some experience in state government. maybe he is just short on the insider washington experience? i mean this could play as a double-edged sword because it would be much easier for him to be swayed toward "the way of the hillary" if you will. that is, becoming nothing more than a fake hypocrite who is a front for special interests and corporations. however, he could certainly become one of those crusaders against the special interests. i mean, i saw him at the rally in Washington Square Park and I must say I was impressed by his message, his oratory skills are excellent, yet I cannot help but feel he is RFK-esque without the natural born ability. certainly better than hillary, but the best?

27. I wan't talking about the ability to talk or deal with the BS that exists
in both the State & Fed. Senate. I'm talking about his ability to deal with the opposition. I thingk we both know there are going to be attacks on whoever the Dem nominee is. Some may have a smidgeon of truth, but most will not. If the Pubs can'tfind any dirt on our candidate, they'll make some up! I think that was Dean's problem. He actually believed he could campaign telling the truth, stating his positions, and win. He was not prepared for the tricks and how to fight back. Kerry SHOULD have known how to do it, but he failed to successfully fight the mud too!

I support Biden, but I happen to believe Hillary would be best able to fight back against all the mud and slime that we know is coming. She certainly has experienced it frst hand in the past, and whatever she didn't learn, Bill did!

We need a real street fighter in 08!
