Why does Rush Limpbaugh continue with the phony soldiers story? (Conflict at work)
Either this guy is back on drugs or he is up to something. He will not let this story die. The other day I posted about co-workers listening to him during lunch. I could hear them listening to him again today. Well, I shut my door to try to have some peace. About 15 minutes ago one of the idiots, literally, bursts open my door and gets right up in my face bragging about Rush and what he is going to do. Says Rush said he had a copy of Reid's letter and was going to do something with it but he could not discuss it on the air at this time. When I finally shut my door they were all discussing what he was gonna do. He can smoke it or inject it for all I care.

I swear these guys act like 4 year olds. They pass high 5's and spend countless hours like zombies listening to him.

But, my question is WHY does he keep this story alive? Seems to me it only hurts him and his ilk?

1. I think I know what he's up to.
I bet he's somehow going to use Reid's letter to get himself another deferment.

2. Because he wants to control the message ...
by constantly bringing it up, espousing HIS version, he hopes that will be the truth for his minions who will then spread it like the clap.

 WELCOME TO DU!!

3. Seriously, why does he not let it die?

He does seem to be an attention junkie. He's doing it for the notoriety of his radio show, is my guess. All publicity is good publicity, as they say. "Yoo hoo everybody! Look at me! Stay tuned and listen to me!"

5. It is simply stunning to me....
that this guy has been on the air for as long as he has. Am I missing something? Seriously, am I missing something? What the freak is the attraction to hearing an egomaniac tell EXACTLY what needs to be done, when it needs to be done, and how it needs to be done. The guy has been in drug rehab, had four marriages, and his comments have been bizarre at best. Is he a robot with no soul or heart? These clown in our office who listen to him appear, ON THE SURFACE, to be normal working guys. But, when that blowhard comes on, they morph into complete zombies. It is almost scary.

WHAT IS THE ATTRACTION AND WHY IS HE STILL ON THE AIR????
