9. The basis for most of his beliefs seems to me to come from a "religious"

orientation and I have a knee-jerk distrust of faith-based philosophies. And every once in a while, those beliefs seem to lead him in a direction I find uncomfortable.

But he is so much better on the issues (from my perspective) than anyone else on the big political stage that I am willing to risk a leap of faith with him.

It would be nice to see DK compete with the other candidates on an equal (media & money) basis where their stands on the issues were the only deciding factor. But that will never happen so we are left with an underdog campaign.

... a fault, so much as it is an indication of how he didn't boot lick and wheel / deal enough to rise to that level.

Yes, and he decided to take his own health into his own hands to reduce inflamation by eating differently, And, um, he actually looked at the cost of goods and outcome of Medicare and proposed a system that no body wants as the model of universal health care.

Doesn't every person with Medicare just want to give it up for something better? :think:

...but when it's crunch time, he almost always does what he was elected for-represent his peeps.

I don't think he has a fart's chance in a tornado of winning the nod, but even if he doesn't, we want to broaden the platform, make the tent bigger. More votes for DK will do that, without weakening the eventual nominee.
