News People That Have Been Ostracized During The Last 6 Or So Years.....
I'll start this off here. These are the ones that come to mind:

Aaron Brown
Peter Arnet
Ashleigh Banfield
Dan Rather
can't recall his name - but a Doctor that put in a lot of stories from Iraq nearer to the beginning of the war (I believe he worked for CNN)

I would like to compile a list here as it seems like these people have been fired or shunned because of what they said or believe. I wonder how many of them received the same treatment as Dan Rather had when CBS threw him under the bus?

Can you think of more? Please post their names.

8. The OP says "news person"
Maher's show discusses the news just as much as O'Reilly or Tucker or any of those other shows. I would count him and he definitely has been harmed by the same forces as the others.

3. His name escapes me....
..He's blonde, in his sixties, and he put together a book compiled of letters from WWII soldiers.

I remember him being on late night TV talking about how news viewers “will never forgive journalist for the 2000 elections”. ....Dag, I can’t remember his name. I don't know what the situation was that made him fall of the face of the earth.

I know Rosie O’Donnell isn’t a news personality, but she was beaten to a pulp for trying to speak the truth.
