Terry hospitalized with kidney stones
BY JOSEPH MORTON
WORLD-HERALD BUREAU

Rep. Lee Terry, R-Neb., has been admitted to a hospital with kidney stones.

The Omaha congressman was at the Nebraska Medical Center on Monday night, receiving fluids and waiting for the stones to pass, said his wife, Robyn.

Terry had been feeling unwell for several days, she said. Intense back pain Monday sent him to the hospital, where it was discovered that he had two kidney stones. "He was very happy to know what it was," she said.

Congress returns from its August break today.

Terry hopes to join his colleagues on Capitol Hill by later this week, Robyn Terry said.

2. All the best to Congressman Terry
Politics or not, hoping someone makes it through bad health times is the only decent thing to do.

9. LOL! Mean--but damn funny.
Get well soon, Lee Terry. I feel too guilty bashing you when you're ill.

5. Did he get a prior authorization from his insurance
before going to the hospital with kidney stones?

Otherwise, maybe his insurance shouldn't pay for this admission.

I hope while he is lying there in pain, he thinks about the 47 million Americans who don't have health insurance and who if they had a kidney stone would be worrying about whether they could pay for the hospitalization and waiting for the stones to pass.

If he doesn't think about them, boy do I hope those stones take a long long time to exit.

7. Passing kindey stones is no joke, excrutiatingly painful....
there is no love lost between me and Terry, he's jughead, but, as for all who are in great pain and medically indisposed, I wish him well.

But I did have to LMAO at Skittles reply...

8. Not fun no matter who you are
But wouldn't it be nice if all citizens received prompt treatment for such an ailment even if they aren't members of Congress?
