John Edwards had said, "Don't replace Corporate Republicans with Corporate Democrats."
However, he, along with all the other candidates forgets about the single most important thing, the way our votes will be counted. The only exception to this is Dennis Kucinich.

Dennis Kucinich wants hand counted paper ballots in all federal elections, and has spoken out about this subject. No other candidate has spoken about this subject and may be afraid to. Still, they want your vote and then allow your vote to be counted by secret corporate vote counting machines. These machines have shown to be unreliable and easily hacked over and over again.

This means to me that Kucinich is the only candidate who would want to win by actually being elected president by the people and not by machines that were set for him to win. This is what makes him the people's candidate.

Take a look back six years. See what the machines had given us. Do we really want that again?

The truth is in the links below.

1. He also said:
"Real change starts with being honest -- the system in Washington is rigged and our government is broken. It's rigged by greedy corporate powers to protect corporate profits. It's rigged by the very wealthy to ensure they become even wealthier. At the end of the day, it's rigged by all those who benefit from the established order of things. For them, more of the same means more money and more power. They'll do anything they can to keep things just the way they are -- not for the country, but for themselves."

2. I agree with this statement.
I think that DK has the better platform and record, and he has my primary support. He's earned it with the work he's done since the 2000 selection.

I'm really glad, though, to see that there is at least one "top tier" candidate who is willing to say this out loud.

Edwards' weak point is that his current words don't match his past record on many issues. I appreciate his apparent shift, and if it is genuine, I support it. I also appreciate that he has said, publicly, that he made a mistake in his support of the war and takes responsibility for that. It's more than we get from the other 2.

I hope he keeps it up.

4. Excellent logic K*R

That's a nice bit of reasoning. The test to see commitment against corporate control is the stand on elections. Very simple, which explains its power.

A classic!

7. John Edwards is for paper ballots and wants to ban DRE's.

Your thread is incorrect.

I don't mind you supporting Kucinich, but you don't have to lie about Edwards to do it.

8. The point of this thread is to speak about the silence
from all the other candidates including Edwards on the issue, thats what I am trying to point out here, wanting paper ballots and then staying silent about why you want paper ballots is two different things.

10. Why won't he call Obama and Clinton out by name? Is he Chicken?
Or just trying to position himself as a veep candi again?
That'd make him chickenshit, not just chicken...
