POLL: Hillary leads Obama by 13 points (38% - 25%), Edwards in single digits (8%)

Without Gore in the race trend is below. Obama same as July, Hillary down three, Edwards down four (with Gore in race, Edwards sinks to 6%).

1. Nat'l polls are bullshit but that's an ugly number for Edwards
If his campaign is seeing the same trend it might explain some of his aggressiveness this week.

2. To me, the most important poll is from Iowa republicans...
Obama placed 3rd as the preferred general election candidate of registered Republicans, at 6.7 percent, behind Romney (21.8 percent), and Giuliani (10 percent), but ahead of Thompson (5.2 percent) and McCain (1.8 percent).

I saw the Salon story today but couldn't get past the subscriber-only barrier.

Personally, i love the fact that Obama has such broad appeal... The perfect elixir moving forward...
