we always elect the right liar

Its not If we are being lied to by politicians,We are, Its how good they are at it.

The public doesn't want the hard cold facts, we want a nice warm fuzzy story about how it all going to get better once (Fill in name here) is elected.


If a candidate is exposed for telling lies so badly no one falls for them, they are done disgraced, rejected,sending resumes to talk radio stations.


But the candidate who tells lies so skillfully crafted that everyone wants to believe them.
This liar is swept into office with great pomp and circumstance.


On some level it doesn't matter that nothing of significance will change very much.
All that matters is how good we all feel about the lies we've been told.


Apologies to the naive, I'm feeling rather cynical today.

When you realize there is no difference between the parties, you'll get even warmer. When looking through the pinhole there may be an illusion of difference, but it's just an illusion.

I'm not really there yet, because I have some weird form of hope left. I guess when Gore doesn't announce a run, that will be burnt out too and I'll finally get it myself.
