Grandmothers For Peace to hold informal picket

Nevada County Grandmothers For Peace will hold informational picketing in front of Nevada Union High School in Grass Valley on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the afternoons.

They hope to give information and opt-out forms to students and their parents so students can keep their personal contact information from being given to military recruiters. Schools must give recruiters the information under federal No Child Left Behind rules.

1. Early on Bush began using this no child left behind mantra.
How cowardly to use this other form of terra alert to bait parental support and then put a recruiter barb into it to snare their children that are supposedly being left behind.

Better to be left behind than to be dead as the 43 names released this week by the Pentagon and scrolled on "This Week."

I do believe that this (No Child Left Behind) was a ploy for cannon fodder for *'s planned war years before he could pull off the invasion of Iraq.

2. Good for those Grandmothers!
Now THAT would be a great entry in a parade. Labor day is coming up, schools will be starting.

Too bad mothering and grandmothering isn't the kind of "labor" labor day celebrates; I'd march with them!
