His statement was a slap in the face to everyone who has lost a loved one while they served in the military when (who knew?) they could have been out campaigning instead.
If any of his sons were derelict in their campaigning, did they face conviction of a federal offense and some quality time in one of Sugar's less than pleasant penal facilities?
had his son serve during the Civil War? The people weren't too pleased that he waited until he graduated from Harvard, and he was blasted in the press for not enlisting sooner.
