Talk about polarizing! Geez, it was the only time I ever had anyone on ignore.

Primaries are the time to debate the merits of the various candidates who put themselves up for consideration.

When we have a candidate in '08 we'll unite behind him or her. Anyone who starts trashing the candidate or voicing support for a third party candidate will probably get booted.

We've got months to go before we sleep.

We have primaries to sort out who we get behind. We get behind the winner of those contests. The winner is decided by votes. Until then we get to fight it out. But if you would like to get behind Dennis and stop all this bickering, that is fine with me.

Yeah - but having your guys oversee the collapse of the party infrastructure in every red and swing state from 1997-2004 is NOT upsetting to the party.

I think there are these things called "primary elections" where we get to do that. And they don't happen for months.

While it would be nice if the various candidates' supporters refrained from nasty, gratuitous pot-shots, don't tell me to "get behind Hillary" to accomplish that. I'll get behind whoever I want to get behind (and it isn't Hillary).

out of the issues that are important to the party.

Good heavens, we haven't even had a primary yet! A awful lot can change between now and then.

Personally, I'm quite content to wait and listen, and make my choice later.

This is a part of the political process. Just support your Democratic candidate and quit in your feeble attempt to sway people. This is extremely laughable, weak and petty. Or better yet, "If you can't run with the big dogs, keep you ass on the porch"! You're shameful.

68. I'll support whomever they nominate. But liberals have a very modest "herd instinct"
Edited on Thu Jul-19-07 12:56 PM by Perry Logan
Any appeal for unity from liberals will show you how individualistic and cantankerous we are.

But that's not a criticism of us. The Right have an incredibly strong herd instinct--which is an obvious political advantage--but they're horrible people who elect even more horrible people. Liberals think for themselves, so a call for unity is likely to produce some serious cacophony.

But I appreciate your call for unity. There's no harm in asking.

I'm not a Democratic team player under all circumstances. But I'm trying to be a good soldier these days, because I feel the U.S. cannot survive another bout of neocon rule. I'm trying to pump up my team spirit. That's why I try never to diss any of our candidates or leaders.

(Maybe the best way to get liberals to pull together is to tell them NOT to pull together?)
