Excellent Powell quote on favored sons' Vietnam-dodging

Excellent CNN discussion of National Guard on CNN just ended, reported by Jamie McIntyre, including "get out of 'Nam free card" in early '70s -- but balanced with differences in what Guard service means today.

The best bit was Jamie quoting from Colin Powell's autobiography:

"I am angry that so many of the sons of the powerful and well placed and so many professional athletes (who were probably healthier than any of us) managed to wangle slots in Reserve and National Guard units." -- Colin Powell, "My American Journey"
